19th anniversary of the adoption of the Third Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions
December 8 marks the 19th anniversary of the adoption of the Third Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions, which established the red crystal as an additional symbol of protection in international humanitarian law. The Ukrainian Red Cross, as part of a cross-border campaign, appeals to counteract the abuses associated with the use of the red cross, crescent and crystal symbols.
