Do you have questions?

The Polish Red Cross offers psychosocial support to all those who have suffered due to the armed conflict in Ukraine. If you need someone to talk to, want to learn about other services, or have lost contact with loved ones as a result of the conflict - CALL US. The helpline is open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. Our assistance is anonymous and free of charge.

The helpline is operational:

from Monday to Friday
from 09:00 to 17:00.

01

How does the PCK Helpline work?

Every call is answered by a trained staff member from the Helpline. They will greet you, introducing themselves and informing you that you have reached the PCK Helpline.

Our Helpline is staffed by specialists from Poland and Ukraine. The first person to answer your call will be an experienced operator who, after a brief conversation to help determine your needs, will provide you with the appropriate information or connect you with the on-duty psychologist.

If it happens that you are not speaking the same language, you will be redirected to another staff member (our specialists speak Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, and English).
During the conversation, our specialists will ask you a few questions to tailor the assistance to your needs. We will stay with you for as long as you need. The only situation in which a Helpline staff member may disconnect earlier is if they encounter aggression that makes conversation impossible.

02

What assistance does the Helpline offer?

On our helpline, we primarily provide informational and psychological assistance. Our operators provide information about current activities conducted by the Red Cross and other organizations operating in Poland. Our psychologists offer help to everyone who needs support. They will talk about any issue that is important to you. We treat each situation, every problem, and doubt you call us about individually, and together we seek such a solution. We consider what can be done in this specific situation, what options we have, and what can realistically change your situation.

03

Is the helpline anonymous and free of charge?

Yes, the helpline is anonymous and free of charge. Our conversations are confidential. This means that we will not tell anyone about what we discussed. In a situation where we determine that your health and life are at risk, we will contact people who will take care of your safety.

04

I called the helpline, but no one answered – why?

Our helpline is open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. Incoming calls outside these hours will not be answered.
If you called during the specified time but no one answered your call, there are two possibilities. The first is a situation where all operators are on calls. In this case, please try calling again shortly.
The second situation is when the helpline is closed or there has been a failure.
