Stages of the journey with PCK

How your journey will look depends on:

  • the opportunities for volunteers at the local Polish Red Cross branch
  • your skills, availability, and willingness to get involved

STAGE I: Preparation for the journey
,

that is, preparing for volunteering at the Polish Red Cross

STAGE II: Traveling,
that is, volunteering action at the Polish Red Cross

STAGE III: Conclusion of the journey,
that is, concluding the volunteering activity at the Polish Red Cross

STAGE I: Preparation for the journey

The key stage where you choose a project that aligns with your interests, learn about PCK values, and prepare through training and resource organization. By signing up for your chosen group, you embark on your volunteering journey, ready to provide help where it is most needed.

STAGE II: Traveling

Volunteering at the Polish Red Cross is a unique journey, where you discover new places, build relationships, and develop your skills. Each project is a new stage, providing the opportunity to engage in various initiatives and to offer help where it is most needed.

STAGE II consists of the following elements:

Discovering new places, or helping the community

Just like during your travels, you will have the chance to discover new places and cultures through your volunteer work, engaging in helping the local community.

Establishing Contacts, or Building Relationships

You will be making new acquaintances and building relationships with other volunteers, volunteer coordinators, group leaders, and members of the community you will be working with.

Developing skills, or personal growth

By volunteering at the Polish Red Cross, you will have the opportunity to acquire new skills, develop your individual resources, learn flexibility, and collaborate in various situations.

New stages of travel, or a different way to engage

In the Polish Red Cross, you can work in several groups on different projects. When the project you are involved in ends, you can engage in other activities.

STAGE III: Conclusion of the journey

Return home, or the conclusion and summary of the project, activities.

Just as in the case of travel, there may also come a time to conclude your volunteering at the Polish Red Cross. Share your feedback with your volunteer coordinator or group leader. Your thoughts, reflections, and suggestions will help us improve the space for volunteers at the Polish Red Cross.

Memories of travel, or sharing experiences.

Recalling situations, places, smells, tastes, emotions, feelings... Such things can also resurface in the context of your involvement in volunteer work with the Polish Red Cross. We wish you this very much and encourage you to utilize and share the experience and skills you have gained. Pass positive energy and goodness out into the world!

Another journey, that is further engagement.

Although the end of the project or activity signifies the conclusion of physical presence on-site, you can still engage in activities for the community that needs your help or look for new ways to get involved.
