We had the pleasure of conducting first aid classes for seniors from the projectOUR TIME from the „Sobótka” Club.
First aid classes for seniors are an extremely important initiative aimed at increasing the safety and independence of elderly individuals. During these meetings, participants learn how to respond in emergencies – such as fainting, falls, choking, or cardiac arrest – both as witnesses to events and potential victims.
The classes are conducted in a manner tailored to the age and abilities of the participants – without haste, with a strong emphasis on practice and understanding the basic principles of providing help. They include, among other things, learning how to call an ambulance, assessing the condition of the victim, positioning them safely, and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), often using mannequins.

Such workshops not only teach how to save lives but also increase seniors' confidence in everyday situations and integrate participants, which helps build a sense of community and mutual responsibility.
