September 13th marks World First Aid Day, established by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It's an opportunity to remind people that the ability to respond quickly and appropriately can save lives.

The tragic flood in September 2024 affected 238,000 people, destroyed nearly 12,000 buildings, and caused losses estimated at PLN 1.4 billion. A year later, the Polish Red Cross published a report summarizing the actions taken during and after the disaster.

August 30th is World Missing Persons Day. It's an excellent time to remember that the right to know the fate of loved ones is a fundamental human right, and the Polish Red Cross and the entire Red Crescent Movement work daily to fulfill it.
