The specialists of the Polish Red Cross consulted on the content of the "Safety Guide". The official presentation of the publication is behind us. Soon it will reach all apartments and houses.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration and the Ministry of National Defense published a joint "Safety Guide" for citizens, prepared with a focus on crisis situations and threats of the modern world.

In the process of creating the document, the Polish Red Cross played an important role, sharing its years of experience in rescue, first aid, and support for the civilian population as part of the substantive consultations. Thanks to this, the guide contains practical tips that can realistically help each of us in emergency situations.

From the "Safety Guide" we will learn, among other things:

  • how to behave in the event of a fire, flood, or storm,

  • how to prepare an evacuation backpack and an action plan for the family,

  • what the rules of evacuation and supporting people with special needs are,

  • what the rules of providing first aid and psychological assistance are,

  • how to act together with neighbors and the community during a crisis.

The Polish Red Cross shared its expert knowledge while creating the guide, but it also does this on a daily basis. We train children, young people, representatives of companies, institutions, local governments, as well as uniformed services in the field of providing first aid, behavior in crisis situations, or humanitarian law. We convey knowledge and practical tips tailored to each group's needs regarding broadly understood safety. Based on the guide, a training and educational campaign will soon be launched, aimed at training society on basic safety principles and first aid.

Today, the official presentation of the guide was attended by the General Director of the Polish Red Cross, Katarzyna Mikołajczyk, Deputy General Director Anna Szczepanik, and a member of the PCK Management Board, Marcin Kowalski.

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the publication and share it with loved ones – knowledge is the best form of prevention and strengthening the sense of security.

The guide can be downloaded here: www.gov.pl/web/poradnikbezpieczenstwa

The paper version will be distributed to all homes in the fall.
