On the weekend of December 14-15, Warsaw will become the venue for a unique charitable Christmas event – "We Are Connected by the Christmas Tree." This event, organized by the Polish Red Cross, combines the joy of Christmas preparations with helping those most in need.

Assistance for lonely seniors
The "We Are Connected by the Christmas Tree" action is more than just distributing Christmas trees. Each tree that participants take home carries with it a beautiful message of help and solidarity. Donations collected during the event will be fully allocated to support lonely seniors. For them, Christmas time is often a difficult period filled with loneliness and challenges.
The collected funds will be used for:
organizing activating activities,
psychological support,
actions countering social exclusion.
Every złoty thrown in is not only help but also a sign that we see the needs of others. Together we can create a community of good that connects generations and brings hope to those who need it the most – emphasizes Michał Mikołajczyk, a member of the Management Board of the Polish Red Cross.

Where can you pick up your Christmas tree?
As part of the action, as many as 10,000 live Christmas trees will be distributed, provided by IKEA. Trees can be picked up at three locations:
Radio Trójka Garden (3/5/7 Myśliwiecka Street) – 2000 trees,
PGE Narodowy (Gate 8, Ryszard Siwiec Street) – 6000 trees,
Courtyard in front of the Town Hall (Bankowy Square 3/5) – 1000 trees.
The action will last from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (or until supplies run out).

How does it work?
Participants pick up a Christmas tree by placing a voluntary donation into specially marked donation boxes. The amount of the donation is entirely optional – every złoty matters and contributes to the activities of the Polish Red Cross for seniors.
"The Christmas tree is a symbol of the holidays, full of joy and hope. Thanks to this action, each of us can take a moment and think about those who need our help. Together, we can create the real spirit of Christmas!" – says Masovian Voivode Mariusz Frankowski.
Why is it worth participating?
This is a unique opportunity to combine the pleasant with the useful: to decorate your home with a fragrant, live Christmas tree while helping those who need support. The "We Are Connected by the Christmas Tree" action builds bridges between generations and creates an atmosphere of community and care for others.
We invite all residents of Warsaw to participate in this beautiful initiative. Every Christmas tree is not only a holiday decoration but also a symbol of the good we can do together.
Join us on December 14-15! Together, let’s create Christmas full of warmth and hope!

The partners of the action are:
The City Hall of Warsaw,
Mazovian Voivodeship Office in Warsaw,
Third Program of Polish Radio,
Radio For You,
PGE Narodowy.
